§ 41.7-702. Emergency Powers

He shall have any emergency powers as defined by the Emergency Management Act. Moreover, the Mayor may appoint special police with full police powers and jurisdiction for the duration of an emergency in which the safety and welfare of the Borough are endangered. The emergency powers are not to exceed a period of seven (7) days. The compensation of the special police shall be fixed by Council.
